Retain My Service
I take pride in the attentive, personal service and formidable advocacy that I offer to each client. The driving force for my services is vigorously advocating your interest and achieving the best possible outcome for my clients. Years after Years, the quality of our practice has been recognized by the New York Law Journal as among the top three of New York’s best international law practitioners. I purposefully maintain a reasonable case load so that I am able to work with every client directly. I will not take your case if I cannot handle it myself. I advise every client regarding all decisions as every one of these decisions may shape the course of an action.
If you are interested in my service, please contact me directly, by phone, by email, or by filling out the contact form.
It is important that we both understand fully your position and perspective before you retain my service. If, needed, I will send you information to schedule a formal consultation by telephone, video conference, or in person. I will request information and documentation to review in preparation for your consultation. Providing complete and accurate information will be important to the success of the consultation. During the consultation, I will identify and elucidate the legal issues, explore your options, and offer strategies for your potential or ongoing case. After the consultation, you may choose to retain my services, either as the lead attorney for your case or as an adviser to the attorneys for your ongoing legal matter.
The consultation fee will be charged based on the type of consultation that you may request.
Cost
The costs of legal services in the United States, particularly in New York City, can become very burdensome even for very affluent individuals and families. It is important you receive a cost-effective service. So I am always completely transparent with the fees and costs.
I discuss my fees and how you will pay them from the start. In this way both you and I make clear our expectations. The amount of time I spend on your case may be affected by many factors, such as the approach taken by the other side. However, whenever possible I will provide you with an estimate of the fees, charges and other expenses which you may incur for each stage of work. In that way you can be clear about how much your case is likely to cost.
I will let you know if at any stage the estimate I have given you is likely to be exceeded because more work was required than was expected at the outset of your case. You can also set a cost limit beyond which I must obtain your authority to continue.
My services are typically charged on a time basis at an hourly rate. Fixed fee arrangements are available in uncontested divorce cases and simple immigration matters. I strive to keep the costs down, and believe in a no non-sense approach to legal work. I bill my clients monthly. This means that you always know the amount which you have incurred, how that time has been incurred and what, if anything, is outstanding. You also can help to manage legal costs. I highly recommend a pamphlet written by the New York State Bar Association, entitled “You and Your Lawyer,” which is very informative as to how to manage your legal affairs and costs.
